Rep Ambarura Leads Fresh Blow to APC, Joins ADC
A member of the House of Representatives, representing Illela and Gwadabawa Federal Constituency, Hon. Bello Isah Ambarura, has announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress, APC to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Ambarura said the decision followed a meeting where it was agreed he should leave the APC due to a lack of support and recognition within the party.
He added that the move became necessary for the advancement of his political career and to better serve the interests of his constituents.
The lawmaker was among a group of dissenting APC members who formed a parallel party congress led by Alh. Kabiru S. Fulani, who has also defected to the ADC and now serves as the party’s Secretary.
Ambarura’s defection has further boosted the number of lawmakers aligning with the ADC, signaling a growing shift within the political landscape.
