PDP, ADC Agree to Present Single Presidential Candidate for 2027 — Opposition Summit

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, and African Democratic Congress, ADC have agreed to field a single presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

This was announced at the National Opposition Summit held in Ibadan, where leaders and stakeholders from opposition parties met to discuss strategies ahead of the next election.

Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Tanimu Turaki, disclosed the decision while reading the communique issued at the end of the summit.

According to the communique, the move is aimed at strengthening opposition unity and presenting a formidable challenge in the 2027 presidential contest.

Political observers say the development could reshape Nigeria’s political landscape if other opposition parties join the alliance.
