APC Lawmaker Hon. Mansur Musa Resigns Party Membership
Hon. Mansur Musa, the member representing Aliero/Gwandu/Jega Federal Constituency of Kebbi State in the House of Representatives, has formally resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to a resignation letter dated May 14, 2026, and addressed to the APC Ward Chairman of Magaji “B” Ward in Jega Local Government Area, the lawmaker announced his decision to leave the ruling party with immediate effect.
In the letter, Hon. Musa expressed appreciation for the opportunities and experience he gained during his time in the APC and requested that his name be removed from the party’s membership register.
“I write to formally notify you of my decision to resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect,” the letter stated.
He also urged the ward leadership to acknowledge receipt of the letter and take the necessary administrative steps to delete his name from the party’s register.
A handwritten acknowledgment on the document indicates that the original copy was received by the APC Magaji “B” Ward Chairman on May 15, 2026.
As of the time of filing this report, Hon. Mansur Musa has not publicly announced the political party he intends to join.
Recall that Hon. Mansur was first elected in the 2023 General Elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. He defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2026.
Hon. Mansur was however not cleared to contest for a return ticket by the APC during the recently concluded primaries.
