ADC Leaders Stage Peaceful Protest at INEC Headquarters
Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), loyal to David Mark, on Wednesday staged a peaceful protest at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja, over what they described as acts of democratic intimidation.

The protest, which drew a large number of party supporters, was led by the ADC National Chairman, David Mark, alongside other high-profile political figures across the country.
Among those present were former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Others in attendance included former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, ADC National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola, and party chieftain Bolaji Abdullahi, among other coalition leaders.

The demonstrators carried placards and chanted slogans, calling on INEC to uphold democratic principles, ensure fairness in its dealings with political parties, and resist any form of political interference.
Speaking during the protest, party leaders emphasized that their action was peaceful and aimed at safeguarding Nigeria’s democracy. They warned against any attempt to suppress opposition voices, noting that such actions could undermine public trust in the electoral process.
Security personnel were visibly present at the venue to maintain order, while INEC officials have yet to issue an official response as of the time of filing this report.

The protest highlights growing concerns among opposition figures over recent developments affecting party structures and electoral integrity in the country.
