Dozens Benefit from Umar Ajiya Isa First-of-its-kind Social Media Training

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, dozens of social media users from Sokoto East Senatorial District have commenced a specialised social media training programme sponsored by APC chieftain and Sokoto East Senatorial candidate, Alhaji Umar Ajiya Isa.
The training, described as the first of its kind in the state, is currently taking place in Abuja and is aimed at strengthening the digital communication capacity of participants across the zone.
Beneficiaries of the programme were selected from the eight local government areas that make up Sokoto East Senatorial District, including Isa, Sabon Birni, Wurno, Rabah, Gada, Goronyo, Gwadabawa and Illela.
According to the organisers, the initiative is designed to equip participants with modern social media skills and strategic communication techniques that would enable them to effectively promote the programmes and manifesto of the All Progressives Congress, APC within their respective communities.
The trainees are expected to undergo several weeks of practical and theoretical sessions focused on responsible social media engagement, digital campaign and information management.
Speaking on the importance of the programme, supporters of the initiative said the training would not only improve online political mobilisation for the APC but also encourage positive use of social media platforms in ways that would contribute to the development and image of Sokoto East Senatorial District.
They expressed confidence that the knowledge gained from the programme would help participants become more effective digital ambassadors for the party as political activities gradually build up towards 2027.
