Tinubu Vows Not to Fail Nigerians, Seeks Stronger Grassroots Support
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to economic recovery, national stability, and inclusive development, assuring citizens that he will not disappoint Nigerians.
The President gave the assurance on Thursday at the State House in Abuja while receiving members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.
According to him, his government remains determined to remove political and economic obstacles that have slowed national progress and to implement reforms aimed at improving living standards.
“We cannot afford to fail Nigerians,” the President stated, stressing that the ongoing policies are intended to reposition the economy and create opportunities for all citizens, especially vulnerable groups.
The delegation was led by Hope Uzodimma, who serves as Director-General of the group. Also present were Kashim Shettima, APC National Chairman Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, and several state governors.
President Tinubu charged members of the group to intensify mobilisation at the grassroots level and educate Nigerians on the benefits of government programmes.
He also emphasised the need to uphold democratic values, respect court decisions, and protect the independence of the judiciary.
Responding to critics, the President dismissed opposition attacks, saying no amount of misinformation would distract his administration from pursuing reforms necessary for long-term national growth.
Tinubu further restated his commitment to youth empowerment and balanced development across all regions, urging Nigerians to remain hopeful despite current economic challenges.
Earlier, Governor Uzodimma informed the President that the group had established structures across wards and polling units nationwide, adding that it was actively engaging markets, schools, and professional bodies.
Former Aminu Bello Masari and other party leaders also expressed support for the administration’s reform agenda.
Concluding his remarks, President Tinubu assured Nigerians that he would remain steadfast in delivering on his mandate.“I will not give up, and I will not run away from the responsibility,” he said.
