Gov. Aliyu Says Sokoto Recording Gains Against Banditry
Governor Ahmed Aliyu has said the Sokoto State Government is making steady progress in the fight against banditry and other forms of insecurity affecting parts of the state.
The governor made the statement on Thursday while declaring open the State Executive Council meeting at the Council Chamber.
According to him, the government, in collaboration with security agencies, has intensified efforts to restore peace in 13 local government areas impacted by criminal activities.
Governor Aliyu said the administration’s renewed commitment to securing Sokoto State is already yielding positive results, assuring residents that the government would not relent until displaced communities return safely to their ancestral homes.
He also pledged continued support for security agencies to strengthen their operations in protecting lives and property across the state.
The governor urged residents to cooperate with authorities by providing useful information that could help identify and apprehend criminal elements.
He further called on rural communities to expose informants aiding bandits, describing them as enemies of peace who must face the law.
Governor Aliyu reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful leadership and appealed for continued prayers and support from the people of Sokoto State.
