PRNigeria Publisher Unveils Memoir on NIPSS Experience, Highlights IMPR’s 2026 Achievements
The Managing Director of Image Merchants Promotion Limited (IMPR), publishers of PRNigeria, Yushau A. Shuaib, has unveiled a new memoir detailing his experience at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), while presenting the organisation’s achievements for the first half of 2026.
Speaking during IMPR’s mid-year press briefing, Shuaib announced the forthcoming release of his 205-page memoir, Mni vs. Mnipr in NIPSS: Tackling Institutional Bullying.

The book recounts events surrounding his withdrawal from the National Institute’s Senior Executive Course (SEC) 47 and raises concerns about institutional accountability, administrative processes and the protection of individual rights.
He alleged that his private email was unlawfully accessed and that disciplinary measures taken against him were unfair. He also expressed disappointment that petitions submitted to the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Data Protection Commission over the matter had yet to produce any action.
“These experiences reinforce my conviction that justice delayed not only affects individuals but can erode public confidence in institutions established to uphold the rule of law,” Shuaib said.
The memoir also examines the role played by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), which terminated its Memorandum of Understanding with IMPR during the controversy.
Publisher of Daily Nigerian, Jaafar Jaafar, praised Shuaib for documenting his experience, describing the memoir as a courageous account that challenges institutional bullying and promotes accountability.
“Yushau Shuaib has consistently used journalism and strategic communication to advocate for justice and defend vulnerable members of society,” Jaafar said.
Reviewing the book, Editor-in-Chief of World Entourage, Haruna Abdullahi Haruspice, described it as a thought-provoking work that raises questions about leadership, organisational culture and the value of independent thinking within public institutions.
Beyond the memoir, Shuaib highlighted IMPR’s accomplishments in journalism and strategic communication, noting that campaigns executed for the Nigeria Customs Service and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) won honours at the 2026 SABRE Africa Awards.
He added that projects undertaken for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) have been shortlisted for the 2026 International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Golden World Awards in Athens.
Shuaib also announced a series of upcoming programmes, including the National Spokespersons Awards, the Economic Confidential Annual Lecture, the Security and Emergency Management Awards (SAEMA) and the Arewa Stars Awards.
He further disclosed that IMPR will publish four new books before the end of the year and continue expanding its capacity-building initiatives through the PRNigeria Young Communication Fellowship and the newly established PRNigeria Training Academy.
“We remain dedicated to advancing journalism and strategic communication in service of Nigeria and beyond,” Shuaib said.
