BREAKING: Tinubu Renominates Kashim Shettima as Running Mate for 2027
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially reaffirmed Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 presidential election by submitting his signed nomination documents to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The documents, comprising the President’s signed court affidavit and the APC presidential and vice-presidential nomination forms bearing the names of President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima, were presented to the party’s National Working Committee on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim Masari, who represented the President at the event.
The submission took place during a high-level APC meeting at the Continental Hotel in Abuja, where members of the National Working Committee formally received the nomination documents.
The event was attended by APC governors, members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), senior government officials, party leaders, and other key stakeholders.
The submission officially confirms the renewal of the Tinubu-Shettima ticket for the 2027 presidential election, ending months of speculation over the identity of the President’s running mate.
