Atiku Meets Hayatu-Deen in Lagos, Continues ADC Reconciliation Moves Ahead of 2027
Presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, on Sunday visited prominent banker, politician, and also ADC Presidential Aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, in Lagos as part of ongoing consultations aimed at strengthening unity and cohesion within the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The visit is being viewed as part of reconciliation and bridge-building efforts by the former vice president to consolidate support within the party and foster collective ownership of the ADC project ahead of the elections.
Atiku was accompanied on the visit by former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, alongside other key stakeholders of the party.

The latest consultation comes days after Atiku, Tambuwal, and other party leaders paid a similar visit to former Minister of Transportation and ex-Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, who also contested in the ADC presidential primary.
Political observers say the series of engagements reflects ongoing efforts by the ADC leadership to close ranks after the primary contest and present a united front ahead of the 2027 presidential race.
The opposition party has intensified consultations and alliance-building initiatives in recent weeks as it seeks to strengthen its national structure and expand support across the country.
