Sokoto Gov’t Says State Will No Longer Witness Heaps of Refuse

The Sokoto State Government has taken a further step toward improving environmental sanitation with the provision of two pay loaders to enhance refuse evacuation in the state capital.

Presenting the equipment the Deputy Governor,Engr. Idris Mohammed Gobir, said the initiative reflects the state government’s determination to maintain a cleaner and healthier Sokoto metropolis. He noted that environmental cleanliness remains vital to public health and overall quality of life.

Gobir expressed confidence that the addition of the machines would address the challenge of waste accumulation, adding that the administration of Ahmed Aliyu is focused on delivering meaningful improvements across key sectors.

Receiving the equipment, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Habib Isah, appreciated the gesture and assured that the machines would be properly managed and effectively deployed.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Biofil Technologies Nigeria Limited, Taiwo Ibukunle describedthe pay loaders as essential tools for efficient waste collection and disposal. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the Clean Sokoto initiative and ensuring a cleaner environment for residents.
