ADC Unveils Governorship, Deputy Candidates in 28 States Ahead of 2027 Elections
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled its governorship and deputy governorship candidates across 28 states ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party said the candidates would carry the ADC banner into the elections as part of its commitment to provide Nigerians with credible leadership and a genuine political alternative.
The list, signed by the ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, contains the names of the party’s governorship and deputy governorship candidates in the 28 states.
In the North-West, the ADC has fielded Manir Mohammad Daniya as its governorship candidate in Sokoto State, with Isah Bello Ambarrura as his running mate.
In Kebbi State, the party listed former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, as its governorship candidate, with Zagi Musa Mohammed as deputy.
Other candidates on the list include Senator Halliru Dauda Jika in Bauchi, Senator Ahmad Baba Kaita in Katsina, Ibrahim Ali Amin in Kano, Isa Mohammed Ashiru in Kaduna, Zakari Mohammed in Kwara, Kassim G. Gaidam in Yobe and Shinkafi Bilyaminu Yusuf in Zamfara.
In the South, the party’s candidates include Chief Great Ogburu in Delta, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour in Lagos, Taofeek Adegoboye Adeogoke in Oyo, Biodun Collins Ogundipe in Ogun and Gabriel Pidomson in Rivers State.
For Borno State, the ADC named Babagana Buhari as its governorship candidate, with Mamman Dauda as deputy.
The party said the candidates would represent the ADC’s commitment to credible leadership and its effort to offer Nigerians a “real alternative” ahead of the 2027 elections.
