NSCDC Deploys 275 Personnel Across Zamfara for Independence Anniversary

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Zamfara State Command, has deployed 275 personnel across the state to provide security during Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary celebrations.

The deployment, ordered by the State Commandant, Commandant Sani Mustapha, is aimed at protecting lives and property and ensuring peaceful celebrations across the state.

The personnel have been deployed to volatile areas, state borders, metropolitan centres and other strategic locations, including the airport, trade fair complex, recreational centres, motor parks and other public spaces across the 14 Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.

The State Commandant directed personnel to maintain extensive operational coverage, discipline, consistency and professionalism throughout the celebrations.

Commandant Sani Mustapha reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to protecting lives, property and critical national assets and infrastructure, in line with the mandate of the NSCDC under the leadership of its Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi.

He warned that anyone apprehended for acts capable of disrupting the peace would face the consequences of their actions.

The command also assured residents of its readiness to respond to security threats and maintain law and order throughout the Independence celebrations.
