Kebbi People Are 100% Behind President Tinubu — Gov. Idris
By Yusuf Gwandu
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has reaffirmed the state’s unwavering support for the second-term bid of President Bola Tinubu.
The governor made this known on Wednesday during an endorsement ceremony organised by the Tinubu Support Organisation in Birnin Kebbi.
According to Governor Idris, several developmental projects have been executed in Kebbi State under President Tinubu’s administration, while many indigenes of the state have also secured appointments at the federal level.
Responding to critics, the governor said: “I saw a clip where someone questioned why the Governor of Kebbi State should declare support for President Tinubu. Let me make it clear, we are 100 percent behind the President, and we will continue to support him.”
He cited key infrastructure projects, including the Malando–Warra road and the Badagry Superhighway, as evidence of the administration’s impact, adding that Kebbi people have greatly benefited since Tinubu assumed office.
Governor Idris further noted that Kebbi State was the first in Northern Nigeria to publicly declare support for the President, an event held at Haliru Audu Stadium and later at the Presidential Banquet Hall.
He commended the Tinubu Support Organisation for the endorsement initiative, describing it as a welcome development that reinforces the strong backing of the people for the President.
