By Fahad Faruk Galadanchi

The Chairman of Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Shehu Abubakar Kamarawa, has launched a free medical outreach to provide healthcare services to residents affected by a disease outbreak in the state.

The initiative is aimed at easing the burden on affected communities, particularly vulnerable residents who may be unable to afford medical treatment.

Kamarawa said the intervention was introduced to ensure that residents receive timely medical attention and that financial difficulties do not prevent them from accessing essential healthcare services.

He explained that the outreach was open to residents of affected communities, irrespective of their economic status.

The chairman assured residents that his administration would continue to collaborate with relevant health authorities and other stakeholders to contain the outbreak and safeguard public health.

He urged residents to remain calm, observe recommended preventive measures and seek medical attention immediately if they develop symptoms associated with the disease.

Kamarawa also called on community members to cooperate with healthcare workers and adhere to public health advisories to prevent further transmission.

He said the local government would continue to monitor the situation and introduce appropriate measures to reduce the impact of the outbreak on residents.

The chairman further encouraged residents to take advantage of the free medical services and promptly report suspected cases to the relevant health authorities for assessment and treatment.
