NELFUND Disburses Over N527m to UDUS, 5,448 Students Benefit

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed more than N527 million in institutional fees to 5,448 students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS), according to an acknowledgement letter from the institution.
The university, in a letter signed by its management, confirmed receipt of the funds and commended NELFUND for the intervention, describing it as a significant step towards easing the financial burden on students.
According to the letter, UDUS received N401,752,080 as the second batch of registration fee disbursement for the 2025/2026 academic session, benefiting 4,323 students.
The acknowledgement letter, dated April 29, 2026, was signed by the university’s Bursar, Faruku Koko, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor. It stated that the funds were credited to the institution’s e-Collection account on March 24, 2026.
The disbursement forms part of NELFUND’s ongoing efforts to improve access to higher education by supporting students with the payment of institutional charges.
