BREAKING: Labour Party Reserves 2027 Presidential Ticket for Southern Candidates

The Labour Party Nigeria (LP) has announced that its presidential ticket for the 2027 general election has been officially zoned to the southern region of the country.

The party’s National Chairperson, Nenadi Usman, disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja, stating that the decision has already been finalised within the party’s leadership.

According to Usman, the Labour Party will not entertain any presidential aspirant from northern Nigeria, stressing that the zoning arrangement is firm and non-negotiable.

She said the party is committed to presenting only candidates from the southern part of the country for the 2027 presidential race.

The development signals a clear strategic direction by the Labour Party ahead of the next general elections.
