Tinubu Begins Three-Week Annual Leave, Heads to Europe

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today depart Abuja for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave, the Presidency has announced.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu’s first destination will be London, United Kingdom.

The statement said the President is expected to return to Nigeria after the working vacation, where he will resume his activities ahead of the January 2027 election campaign.

Onanuga said the trip forms part of the President’s annual leave.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for Europe to begin a three-week vacation as part of his annual leave,” the statement said.

The Presidency did not disclose further details of the President’s itinerary during the three-week break.

Tinubu’s departure comes as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political parties and aspirants already stepping up preparations across the country.
