The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Sokoto State Chapter, has announced plans to hold a statewide roadshow as part of nationwide activities to promote the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.

The roadshow, tagged “Caliphate Roadshow,” is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. It will commence at the iconic Dogon Daji House, Sokoto, and proceed through the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) Roundabout, Government House, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and Gusau Road before terminating at the A.A. Shehu Arena along NNPC Salame Road, where closing remarks will be delivered.

According to a statement signed by Elizabeth Ephraim, Public Relations Officer of the NIPR Sokoto State Chapter, the initiative is designed to create greater public awareness about Nigeria’s hosting of the global public relations and communication community and highlight the significance of the international forum.

The WPRF Abuja 2026 is scheduled to take place in Nigeria from November 15 to 21, 2026, with more than 3,000 delegates from 126 countries expected to participate.

The forum is being organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, in collaboration with the African Public Relations Association (APRA) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

The Sokoto NIPR chapter called on its members, Mass Communication students, journalists, youth groups, media practitioners, stakeholders and members of the public to participate actively in the roadshow.

The chapter said the activity forms part of the nationwide campaign by the NIPR Council to sensitise Nigerians about the importance of WPRF Abuja 2026 and Nigeria’s role as host of the global gathering.

The NIPR Sokoto State Chapter expressed optimism for a strong turnout and collective participation as the state joins other parts of the country in promoting a successful WPRF Abuja 2026.
