FRSC Zonal Commander Tasks Sokoto Personnel on Discipline, Professionalism
The Zonal Commanding Officer, Zone RS10 Headquarters, Sokoto, ACM FA Ogidan, has urged personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to uphold discipline, professionalism and integrity in the discharge of their duties.
Ogidan gave the charge on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, during his maiden and Third Quarter Working Visit to the RS10.1 Sokoto Sector Command.
He was received by the Sector Commander, CC Umar Adamu Argungu, alongside senior officers of the command.
The Zonal Commander commended the personnel for their smart turnout, neat appearance and discipline, saying their conduct and appearance reflected positively on the image and reputation of the Corps.
Ogidan urged personnel to remain security-conscious and professional, particularly while conducting routine patrols.
He stressed the need for proper positioning during patrol operations and courteous interaction with members of the public.
The Zonal Commander also warned personnel against extortion and other acts capable of damaging the reputation of the Corps, urging them to uphold integrity and strictly adhere to established rules and regulations.
He further encouraged the personnel to maintain a cordial and productive relationship with Special Marshals, noting their important contribution to road safety operations.
The visit concluded with remarks from the Sector Head of Operations, DCC ARD Shehu, who appreciated Ogidan for the visit and the guidance provided to personnel.
The command also reiterated its call for public cooperation and support as it continues efforts to reduce road traffic crashes across Sokoto State and beyond.
