Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price to ₦1,165, Diesel to ₦1,570/Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel), effective Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Under the new pricing regime, the refinery reduced the price of petrol from ₦1,215 to ₦1,165 per litre, representing a ₦50 decrease.
The price of diesel was also reduced by ₦80 per litre, from ₦1,650 to ₦1,570.

The refinery said the latest price adjustment was aimed at improving the affordability and availability of refined petroleum products while supporting businesses and economic activities across the country.

According to the company, the reduction reflects ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and pass the benefits on to consumers and other stakeholders whenever market conditions allow.

Dangote Refinery also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a stable supply of petroleum products and contributing to Nigeria’s energy security.

It said its continued operations would help reduce the country’s dependence on imported refined petroleum products while supporting economic development through the supply of high-quality fuels.

The company further pledged to continue leveraging its operational efficiencies to deliver economy.
