BREAKING: Constituents Raise N10m to Purchase ADC Nomination Forms for Rep Gorau

Constituents of Gada/Goronyo Federal Constituency in Sokoto State have pledged to raise 10 million naira to purchase the nomination and expression of interest forms of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, for their representative Hon. Bashir Usman Gorau.
The gesture, announced on Tuesday, was attributed to what the constituents described as Hon.Gorau’s impressive performance during his first term in the House of Representatives.
Discussing the development, Suleiman Goronyo who is coordinating the donation, said their decision was driven by the lawmaker’s developmental strides and commitment to improving the welfare of the people.
“Seeing is believing. There is nothing more we can say than to thank God for Gorau. We stand firmly with him. He has executed numerous projects, and we will continue to support him ahead of the 2027 elections” he said.
According to him, the contributions were made collectively by people from all walks of life across the constituency, reflecting widespread appreciation of the lawmaker’s efforts.
He added that the initiative demonstrates how Hon. Gorau’s representation has positively impacted the living conditions of residents in both Gada and Goronyo local government areas.
Suleiman further noted that the constituency has become a model for others, adding that people from outside the area have expressed admiration and even envy of the level of development recorded.
He maintained that many individuals have directly or indirectly benefited from Gorau’s tenure, citing employment opportunities facilitated by the lawmaker.
The constituents also vowed to contribute whatever it takes to ensure the forms are purchased, describing it as unacceptable for the lawmaker to bear the cost personally.
Hon. Bashir Usman Gorau, a former students’ union leader, is currently serving his first term representing Gada/Goronyo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
