Adeleke Declared Winner of Osun Governorship Election

Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party has been declared the winner of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

The Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, announced Adeleke as the winner after the collation of results from the 30 local government areas of the state.

Adeleke secured 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 444,815 votes.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Najeem Salaan, finished third with 17,180 votes.

The declaration formally confirms Adeleke’s re-election victory in the keenly contested election, giving him a fresh mandate to lead Osun State.

Final Results: Ademola Adeleke (Accord), 511,067; Bola Oyebamiji (APC), 444,815;
and Najeem Salaan (ADC), 17,180.

Adeleke defeated Oyebamiji by a margin of 66,252 votes.
