Sultan Congratulates New Chief Imam of Ilorin, Describes Appointment as Divine Will

The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his appointment as the 13th Chief Imam of Ilorin.

In a statement issued by his Media Team, the Sultan described the emergence of the new Chief Imam as an act of destiny ordained by Allah, stressing that leadership is a divine trust and responsibility.

According to the Sultan, those entrusted with leadership positions must always remember that they are accountable to Allah in the discharge of their duties to the people they serve.

He also commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, for the appointment and prayed for Allah’s guidance, wisdom, strength, and increased knowledge for the new Chief Imam as he assumes the religious leadership of the Muslim community in the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.

The Sultan further expressed confidence in Sheikh Dasuki’s ability to provide impactful leadership and wished him a successful tenure in office.
