Dr. Shamsuddeen Obtains NDC Governorship Expression of Interest and Nominations Forms

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Sokoto State has announced that Dr. Shamsuddeen Ahmad Aliyu, popularly known as Haido, has obtained the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the Sokoto State governorship election in 2027 under the platform of the party.

In a statement issued by the Sokoto State chapter of the party, the NDC disclosed that the expression of interest and nomination forms were purchased at the party’s national headquarters in line with the procedures established for aspirants seeking elective offices.

The party described Dr. Shamsuddeen Ahmad Aliyu as an aspirant committed to strengthening democratic values, while also highlighting his vision and programmes aimed at promoting development in Sokoto State through the party’s internal democratic process.

According to the statement, the Sokoto State chapter of the NDC reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a transparent, fair and credible primary election process that will provide all aspirants with equal opportunities to contest based on competence, ideas and party guidelines.

The party also called on its members, supporters and other stakeholders to continue to maintain unity, peace and loyalty as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
