APC Group in Sokoto Rallies Support for Tinubu, Ahmed Aliyu, Wamakko Ahead of 2027
A political support group, “Nasiru Ladan Media Team for Ahmed Aliyu Continuity 2027” has called on residents of the state to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, describing them as the “backbone”of Sokoto State and key to the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC.
Alhaji Ibrahim Dattijo, Chairman of the group made the call during a familiarisation meeting with the patron and founder of the group, Hon. Nasir Ladan, Special Adviser on Roads Maintenance Agency to Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto held in Karma Hotel, Sokoto.
In his remarks, Hon. Ladan described Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto as a compassionate and humble leader who listens to advice and prioritizes the welfare of the people, noting that these qualities have contributed to the progress being recorded in the state.
He further disclosed that his team has opened an office to provide a platform for political engagement, stressing that all politicians are welcome to operate within the space.
Accordin to him, Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu has supported their efforts with vehicles and equipment to enhance service delivery to the people, a gesture he said reflects the governor’s commitment to grassroots development.
“We will intensify our efforts in serving the people to ensure sustainable development” he said.
The Special Adviser also urged APC members in the state not to make the mistake of rejecting President Tinubu in 2027 elections , whom he described as a visionary, experienced, and strategic leader dedicated to national service.
Touching on insecurity, he noted that insecurity is a global challenge, not limited to Nigeria, expressing optimism that it will eventually be overcome. He added that President Tinubu has the capacity to address the situation effectively.
In a related development, Ladan called on former Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto Central, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, not to withdraw from the senatorial race, emphasizing that the APC would be stronger with him as its candidate in the 2027 elections.
Speaking on speculations about his own ambition to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives, Ladan said he has no personal intention to run, but would consider it if requested by party leaders such as Senator Wamakko or Governor Ahmed Aliyu.
