Tinubu Marks 74th Birthday with Message of Gratitude, Hope

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed gratitude to Nigerians as he celebrates his 74th birthday, acknowledging their support, prayers, and goodwill towards his administration.

In a special birthday message released from the State House on March 29, 2026, the President thanked citizens for their patriotism and solidarity, noting that their encouragement continues to strengthen his resolve to serve the nation.

Tinubu also appreciated individuals and groups who used various media platforms, including newspapers, radio, and television, to felicitate with him on the occasion.

He extended personal thanks to the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for her kind words, as well as Vice President Kashim Shettima for his tribute.

The President revealed that he chose to mark this year’s birthday in a low-key manner, in line with the current mood of the nation.

Reflecting on the country’s journey, Tinubu acknowledged the challenges faced since the commencement of his administration’s reforms. However, he expressed optimism, stating that the sacrifices made by Nigerians are beginning to yield positive results, despite setbacks linked to the ongoing Middle East crisis.

He emphasized that the progress recorded so far is a collective achievement, attributing it not only to his leadership but also to the efforts of the government and citizens alike.

Looking ahead to the third anniversary of his administration, the President reaffirmed his commitment to building a better future for Nigerians and assured that his government remains determined to tackle prevailing challenges.

Tinubu called on citizens to continue working together to build a stronger, more prosperous, and resilient Nigeria, adding that with unity and sustained support, the country will overcome its current difficulties.

He concluded by thanking Nigerians once again and celebrating the milestone with a message of hope for the nation’s future.
