Kwankwaso to Officially Join ADC on Monday

The Kwankwasiyya Movement has announced plans for the formal defection of its leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to the African Democratic Congress.

According to an official notice, the event is scheduled to hold on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 12:00 noon. The venue is the Kwankwasiyya Movement’s headquarters located along Miller Road, Bompai, in Kano.

The announcement described the development as a significant step for the movement, calling on supporters and members of the public to attend and witness what it termed a “historic moment.”

Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State and prominent political figure, is expected to formally register with the ADC during the event, marking a new phase in his political journey.

Observers say the move could reshape political alignments ahead of future elections, as the Kwankwasiyya Movement remains a strong force, particularly in Kano and parts of northern Nigeria.
