Dan’iya Thanks 40,000 Supporters for Massive ADC Rallies in Sokoto

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Sokoto State, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan’iya, has commended thousands of youths, women, elders and other party supporters who participated in solidarity rallies organised in Sokoto North and Kware Local Government Areas.

Dan’iya expressed particular appreciation to the organisers and ADC youth leaders who, according to him, mobilised about 30,000 youths in Sokoto North and another 10,000 in Kware in support of his 2027 governorship bid.

In a statement issued by his Media Aide, Aminu Abdullahi, the ADC candidate described the mobilisation as a demonstration of what he called growing public interest in the party and its political agenda.

He said he was particularly encouraged by the participation of citizens across different age groups who voluntarily identified with his candidature.

“I am humbled and encouraged by this extraordinary show of support. The people came out on their own, and that tells us that something is changing in the political consciousness of Sokoto” Dan’iya said.

He commended the youth leaders for taking an active role in organising the rallies, stressing that young people should play a central role in shaping the political and socioeconomic future of the state.

According to him, the increasing participation of youths in the ADC reflects concerns over insecurity, unemployment, economic hardship and limited opportunities confronting citizens.

“ADC is emerging as a platform through which Nigerians can express their desire for a new political direction and a government that puts the welfare of ordinary citizens first” he said.

Dan’iya said the large turnout in Sokoto North and Kware had further strengthened his commitment to issues he identified as critical to the development of the state, including security, job creation, education, entrepreneurship, healthcare, water supply and economic development.

He urged the youths and other supporters to sustain their participation in politics while ensuring that all political activities remain peaceful and responsible.

The candidate also cautioned supporters against measuring the strength of the movement solely by the size of political rallies.

“The strength of this movement must not be measured only by the size of our rallies, but by the quality of the ideas, the discipline of our supporters and our commitment to building a better Sokoto” he said.

He appealed to ADC supporters across the 23 local government areas to remain focused on issues and engage other citizens respectfully as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum.

Dan’iya assured supporters that the party would continue to engage communities, listen to their concerns and advance what he described as practical solutions to the challenges confronting Sokoto State.

“To the 30,000 youths of Sokoto North and the 10,000 youths of Kware, I say thank you. To the women, elders and every citizen who stood with you, I am deeply grateful” he said.

“Your support has strengthened my resolve to stand firm for a safer, more prosperous and more dignified Sokoto. Together, we can put Sokoto First and build the new Sokoto our people deserve” .
