The Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Zamfara State Branch, has conferred the religious title of Iya Adini (Mother of Faith) on the state’s First Lady, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal, in recognition of her humanitarian services, commitment to religious values and community development.
The title was conferred during NASFAT’s Annual Women’s Week Programme, which also featured a fundraising appeal for the completion of the association’s Jumu’ah Mosque in Gusau.
The event attracted Islamic leaders, women representatives and other stakeholders committed to promoting religious awareness, community welfare and peaceful coexistence.
Presenting the First Lady at the occasion, the Amirah of NASFAT Gusau Branch, Hajiya Khadija Lawal, described her as a role model, philanthropist and humanitarian whose dedication to the welfare of others continues to inspire women and communities across the state.
In her response, Hajiya Huriyya Dauda Lawal expressed appreciation to NASFAT for finding her worthy of the honour, describing it as both a privilege and a call to greater responsibility.
She pledged to continue promoting Islamic values, strengthening religious awareness and encouraging peace and unity across Zamfara State.
The First Lady also prayed for Allah’s guidance and strength to enable her to uphold the values represented by the title, while asking God to reward the association for the recognition.
The Iya Adini title underscores the importance of religious commitment, humanitarian service and community engagement in fostering unity and social development.
