Kebbi Police Pay ₦11.4m Insurance Benefits to Families of Deceased Officers

The Kebbi State Police Command has presented insurance benefit cheques totalling ₦11,400,252.35 to 18 beneficiaries and next-of-kin of deceased police officers under the Group Life Assurance (GLA) and Group Personal Accident (GPA) schemes.
The cheques were presented on Thursday by the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Umar M. Hadejia, on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, said the gesture was part of the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to supporting families of personnel who lost their lives in service.
Hadejia reaffirmed the commitment of the IGP and the Force Management Team to the welfare of police officers and their families.
He said the contributions and sacrifices of the deceased officers to the nation remained appreciated, adding that the insurance payments would provide meaningful assistance to their families.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the IGP, the Force Management Team and the Kebbi Commissioner of Police for the support, describing it as evidence of the Force’s continued concern for the families of deceased personnel.
