Dan’Iya Extols Sultan Of Sokoto’s Leadership as He Turns 70

Former Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, and ADC Governorship Candidate in Sokoto, Hon. Munir Muhammad Dan’Iya, has felicitated the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, CFR, mni, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
Dan’Iya, in a congratulatory message issued on Monday, described the Sultan’s attainment of 70 as a remarkable milestone and a reflection of a life dedicated to faith, service, leadership and humanity.
He said the Sultan’s years on the throne of the Sokoto Caliphate had been characterised by wisdom, dignity and a strong sense of responsibility to the Muslim Ummah, Sokoto State and Nigeria.
According to him, as the spiritual leader of Muslims in Nigeria, Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar has consistently used his position to promote peace, unity, religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians of different faiths, ethnic backgrounds and social orientations.
Dan’Iya particularly commended the Sultan’s commitment to dialogue and reconciliation, noting that his interventions during periods of national difficulty had remained a source of inspiration to many Nigerians.
He also praised the Sultan for preserving the rich heritage and dignity of the Sokoto Caliphate while responding to the demands of contemporary society.
“His voice for justice, compassion, mutual understanding and the welfare of the people has earned him respect far beyond the boundaries of Sokoto State and Nigeria,” Dan’Iya said.
The ADC Governorship Candidate prayed Almighty Allah to grant the Sultan continued sound health, wisdom, strength and peace, as well as many more fruitful years in the service of Islam, humanity, Sokoto State and Nigeria.
He further prayed Allah to guide and protect the Sultan, strengthen the Sultanate and grant him the wisdom and fortitude to continue discharging his responsibilities with distinction.
