Ambassador Faruk Malami Yabo Felicitates Sultan of Sokoto at 70

The Sokoto South Senatorial Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ambassador Faruk Malami Yabo, has congratulated His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, mni, the Sultan of Sokoto, on the auspicious occasion of his 70th birthday.
Ambassador Yabo described the well celebrated feat as a celebration of a life dedicated to service to humanity, noting the Sultan’s remarkable contributions to peacebuilding, national unity, religious harmony and the development of Islam in Nigeria and beyond.
He commended the Sultan for his exceptional philanthropy, humility and strong grassroots appeal, saying his accessibility and compassion have endeared him to people across social, ethnic and religious divides.
“His Eminence has consistently demonstrated that traditional leadership is not merely about occupying a revered throne, but about serving humanity, promoting peace and giving hope to the people. His wisdom, generosity and commitment to the welfare of the less privileged remain worthy of emulation,” Yabo said.
He further noted that the Sultan has played a significant role in strengthening peaceful coexistence and fostering dialogue among Nigerians, while also advancing Islamic scholarship, education and religious understanding across the country and the West African region.
Ambassador Yabo prayed Almighty Allah to grant the Sultan continued good health, wisdom and strength to enable him to sustain his service to humanity and contribute even more to peace, unity and development.
“On behalf of my family, associates and the good people of Sokoto South Senatorial District, I warmly felicitate with His Eminence on this historic 70th birthday. May Almighty Allah preserve him and bless his reign with many more years of peace, wisdom and impactful service to humanity,” he said.
