BREAKING: Sokoto Begins Salary Payment for Newly Recruited Civil Servants Tuesday

The Sokoto State Government has announced the commencement of salary payments for newly recruited staff across 19 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), beginning Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
According to a public announcement issued by the state government and signed by the Committee Secretary, and State Deputy Accountant General, Junaidu Usman Junaidu, the payment exercise will take place at the Cabinet Office, Usman Faruk Secretariat, Sokoto, from 9:00 a.m.
The announcement directed all affected staff to come with their portal slips to facilitate the salary payment process.
The MDAs listed for the exercise include Local Government Audit, Sokoto Urban and Regional Planning Board (SURPB), Audit, Pilgrims, Energy and Petroleum, Ministry for Local Government, Cabinet Office, Lands and Housing, Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Religious Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, and SSCOE.
Others are Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Finance, Shehu Shagari University of Education, as well as Ministry of Environment.
