Ambarura Declares Sokoto ADC Ready for 2027 Governorship Election

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Sokoto State, Hon. Bello Isa Ambarura, has expressed confidence in the party’s readiness for the 2027 general elections, declaring that it is fully prepared to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties.
Ambarura stated this on Wednesday while speaking with journalists after paying a thank-you visit to the ADC State Secretariat in Sokoto.
The House of Representatives member representing Gwadabawa/Illela Federal Constituency said the visit was to appreciate the party leadership and members for entrusting him with the position of deputy governorship candidate.
According to him, the nomination reflects the confidence reposed in his long-standing record of public service.
“The party considered merit. I have spent more than 35 years serving Sokoto State in different capacities, beginning as a clerk and rising to the position of Permanent Secretary. I also served as Permanent Secretary of the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, as a member of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, and I am currently serving in the House of Representatives. I believe those experiences informed the party’s decision” he said.
Speaking on the forthcoming election, Ambarura maintained that the ADC was well-positioned for the contest.
“With about six months to the election, we are fully prepared. We are ready for the challenge” he said.
He called on party members across the 23 local government areas of Sokoto State to remain united and committed to the party’s success.
“I appeal to all our members to continue supporting the party and remain steadfast. Unity is key to achieving our goal” he said.
Ambarura added that while the party would campaign vigorously, it remained committed to accepting the outcome of the election as the will of God.
“We are ready to participate actively in the election and we pray that Almighty Allah grants us victory. Whatever the outcome, we accept it as the will of Allah” he stated.
Party leaders and members who welcomed the deputy governorship candidate at the state secretariat described his visit as a show of appreciation and a demonstration of the party’s unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
