Sokoto Govt Reaffirms Support for Innovation as MIZMAR Media Qur’an Studio Launches

The Sokoto State Government has reiterated its commitment to supporting innovation, digital entrepreneurship and the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) following the official launch of the MIZMAR Media Qur’an Studio in Sokoto.

Speaking at the event the Honourable Commissioner for Innovation and Digital Economy, Hon. Bashar Umar Kwabo, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Nasir Daniya, Mni, conveyed the ministry’s goodwill and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for innovation-driven enterprises in the state.

He commended the founders of MIZMAR Media for their vision and dedication, noting that their use of modern media platforms to promote education, knowledge sharing and positive societal values aligns with the state’s broader development goals, particularly in youth empowerment and digital content creation.

Dr. Daniya further emphasized that the administration of Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has continued to demonstrate strong commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation through strategic investments in the Ministry of Innovation and Digital Economy.

He explained that the governor has approved more than ₦3 billion for the ministry to implement people-oriented programmes and projects under the administration’s 9-Point Smart and Innovative Agenda, adding that the ministry remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people and contribute to the socio-economic development of Sokoto State.

Delivering a special lecture, Prof. Mansur Sokoto highlighted the importance of media in advancing Islamic teachings and moral values. He encouraged the organisation to continue adopting innovative approaches to faith-based broadcasting and educational content, while suggesting its future transformation into a television channel to expand its reach.

Earlier, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MIZMAR Media, Malam Nura Abdullahi Bello, popularly known as Modibbon Sokoto, expressed appreciation to the Sokoto State Government, Islamic scholars and supporters for their encouragement. He reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to producing quality faith-based and educational content that positively impacts society.

Several dignitaries also delivered goodwill messages, including Alhaji Lawal Muhammad Zayyana, Dr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi Jos and Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad, who donated a split air conditioner to support the studio.

Guests and supporters contributed more than ₦1.3 million in cash donations towards the organisation’s mission, while speakers praised the initiative for promoting moral values and Islamic education through modern media platforms.
