ADC Announces Sale of Nomination Forms Ahead of Party Congresses

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a public notice announcing the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its upcoming ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention.

According to the notice from the party’s National Organising Secretary, in Abuja, interested members seeking elective positions are required to purchase the relevant forms as part of the official process.

The Expression of Interest Form is fixed at ₦2,000 (non-refundable), while nomination fees vary depending on the position.

At the ward level, chairmanship costs ₦10,000, while secretary’s cost ₦5,000 and other positions are pegged at ₦3,000. For local government positions, chairmanship forms are ₦40,000, secretary ₦30,000, and other roles ₦10,000 each.

At the state level, aspirants for the position of chairman are to pay ₦500,000, while the secretary position costs ₦300,000, and other offices ₦50,000 each. Delegates to the national convention are also required to pay a nomination fee of ₦10,000.

The party further outlined nomination requirements, stating that aspirants must secure a specified number of nominators, each paying a non-refundable fee of ₦500.

For instance, ward chairmanship aspirants need 10 nominators, while local government chairmanship aspirants require 20 nominators spread across the LGA. At the state level, chairmanship aspirants must have 50 nominators, with at least one from each local government area.

ADC also provided payment details, directing all payments to be made via bank transfer into its designated account, with applicants required to obtain stamped proof of payment.

Forms can be obtained from the party’s National Secretariat or respective state secretariats through designated representatives.

GaskiyaCast reports that, the party set Friday, March 27, 2026, as the deadline for the sale and submission of forms, warning that late submissions will not be accepted. Screening of aspirants is scheduled to take place between March 30 and March 31, 2026.

The ADC urged all aspirants to strictly adhere to the outlined guidelines as preparations continue for its congresses and national convention.
