Sokoto Pilgrims Agency Takes Delivery of Hand Luggage Ahead of 2026 Hajj
The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has received hand luggage meant for intending pilgrims, signaling steady progress in preparations for the 2026 Hajj.
In a statement by the Head of Information and Communications, Faruku Umar, the PWA Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, inspected the items and expressed satisfaction with their quality and the pace of arrangements.
He assured that the agency remains committed to ensuring a hitch-free pilgrimage, adding that all necessary measures are being put in place to guarantee the comfort and welfare of pilgrims from the state.
The chairman disclosed that while the agency awaits the delivery of pilgrims’ uniforms, efforts will be intensified in sensitization and enlightenment campaigns across the 23 Local Government Areas.
He also called on intending pilgrims to participate fully in the enlightenment programmes, noting that proper guidance and preparation are vital for a successful Hajj exercise.
