The Kebbi State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has described the release of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, as the end of a challenging period.

In a press statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Habibu Abubakar Sambo, the ADC said Malami’s return to the state rekindles hope that “justice and due process will ultimately prevail.”

“The return of our distinguished leader marks the end of a difficult and trying period. It is a moment of relief not only for his family and associates but for all those who believe in justice and the rule of law,” the statement read.

The party commended Malami for what it described as his “patience, dignity, and composure” throughout the period, noting that his conduct reflected strong leadership and respect for democratic institutions.

“We commend the exemplary restraint and maturity shown by Malami during this period, as well as the overwhelming solidarity demonstrated by his supporters and well-wishers across Kebbi State and beyond,” Sambo stated.

The ADC also called on its members, supporters, and residents of Kebbi State to remain calm and united, urging them to uphold democratic values and peaceful coexistence.

“We urge all our members and the good people of Kebbi State to remain steadfast, peaceful, and committed to the ideals of democracy. Unity and patience are essential as we move forward,” the statement added.

The party further expressed its determination to promote improved governance in the state, stressing that it would continue to advocate policies that serve the interests of the people.

“We remain resolute in our commitment to ensuring better governance and accountability in Kebbi State,” the statement said.

The ADC concluded by offering prayers for Malami, asking for “strength, good health, and wisdom as he continues to serve the people.”
