APC Incapable of Addressing Insecurity — David Mark
The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, has criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing it of lacking the capacity to address Nigeria’s worsening insecurity.
Mark made the remarks on Wednesday in Abuja during the opening of the ADC’s second National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.
He lamented the rising cases of kidnapping and widespread violence across the country, describing the situation as alarming and increasingly becoming a norm.
According to him, the APC-led government has failed to effectively tackle the security challenges, stressing that the party has demonstrated clear incompetence in managing the crisis.
The former Senate President, however, called on members of the ADC to step up and position the party as a credible alternative capable of providing effective leadership and restoring safety in the country.
Mark emphasised the need for the party to rebuild and strengthen its internal structures, deepen grassroots engagement, and promote unity across different regions and groups.
He also urged collaboration with like-minded stakeholders, noting that unity, discipline, and adherence to democratic principles are essential for the party’s growth and national relevance.
Mark commended party leaders for their continued dedication, expressing confidence that the ADC can emerge as a strong platform for national renewal and better governance.
